Finally got a chance to volunteer some time yesterday



Looks like they embrace the graffiti culture there.

After drive time and BSing I was able to give them a full hour of hard work, mostly carrying buckets of dirt and rocks. When I first got there I didn't see anyone and didn't know what to do, but then dude came around carrying some buckets so I asked him. After about 5 minutes of work I knew exactly what they needed done.

If your in the neighborhood and you want to help but don't know what to do just go down there and you will find something to do. If you can't carry or dig, try pulling weeds or sweeping. The nicer the place looks the less likely the powers that be are going to fuck with them.

I'm going to try to give them at least one hour of work a week on Mondays before work, with school and work that is all I can give. I want to tackle making the entrance more presentable and fixing the beat up fence on the street, dumb fucks climb the fence and fuck it up not realizing that 10 feet away you can just hop over at the bridge. I'm going back tomorrow to carry more rocks but this time I'm going to bring a pick axe... SPRING BREAK!!!

After today the only time I could make it there is on Mondays  before work... if that

I went back today before work and I was able to give them 3 good hours. No one else was there so I moved some big rocks in, then a bunch of gravel and sand, pickaxed a key way,  and then chopped down a shit ton of weeds. In between the hard work and breaks I swept the entrance and drainage area.

Haven't been down there since Jenki finished the big quarter. I'm liking the progression in the top area, lookin' good fellas.

I'm hoping to get up early enough to do some work tomorrow. I want to get started on repairing the front fence. A friend of mine told me about some concrete pour they did yesterday, can't wait to see it.

Hopefully I can get up early enough to do some damage tomorrow. I went last week and only had about an hour of work that I could give. I took down the majority of a bush that was growing in the front fence, it would not stop. I've got a chain saw now so hopefully I'll be able to finish it off tomorrow. I'm gonna concentrate on taking away all of the weeds on the sidewalk and make it look nice for all of the joggers and tweakers. I went back today to see the progress, they put a kerf cut in the asphalt next to the big quarter so if I have time I guess I'll take a pickaxe to it.

Had a few bags of crete left over from a job so I took them down to Snatch today.  It looks like someone's digging a pool in the next bay over from the main part.  Anyone know what's up with that?

I was told that they run into too much debris like full slabs of concrete that Cal Trans used as fill for when the built the bridge. So they were over trying to dig that stuff up.

I tried to go today but just couldn’t make it
