the standard truck with the orange bushings to me feels like default mode. i can fuck around with lows and different bushings or whatever but i feel like im accomodating my style to work with different setups, that classic one i have skated for at least 5 years and when i step on my friend's trucks they feel gay cause they ride ventures and thunders... those are good trucks too but they are too light for me they feel too weak.

i skate krux downlows. low trucks are better for snapping ollies quick since they aer closer to the ground.

It seems like the lower the truck, the more difficult it'd be to ollie. At least, carpet ollieing a deck with itself is hard as fuck. Maybe I'll give some downlows a try to see what's up though. My ollies suck balls.

do you snap your ollies or stomp your ollies? standard trucks are easier if you stomp your ollies. you should try learning to snap your ollies...they won't suck balls anymore. i started as a stomper. it just makes things difficult and sloppy.

Trucks won't make your ollies any cleaner, only practice will.

whenever i step on a board that's not mine, i look like i've never even skated before, because everyone rides their trucks way too hard.
i feel so dumb, i just want to push along and suddenly i have to step off because the board feels like it's moving on a monorail or something Wink

and busted indy stock bushings are just fine.

i didn't even know people changed out their bushings until a couple years ago when i heard some dudes debating hardness.

i just laughed. and i'm still laughing.

I change the bushings too i ride the bushings of my first trucks i think that are some white doh dohs! As for low trucks i dont know it seems no difference to me when i skate but if you notice the gap between the kingpin and metal surface in standard trucks is bigger, so it takes more time for the truck to get so fucked up that u start to grind with the kingpin! So i ride standard!

i love the kingpins. i don't hang up on my smithgrinds with them.

you use an allen wrench to loosen them. why would you tighten them? honestly, i don't get why some people have the constant urge to always mess with their kingpins. i might adjust them once in the beginning but them hardly ever (if ever) mess with them again. most of the time i just ride them how they come because once they break in, they are perfect.

They are nice trucks don't get me wrong. They grind really nice and the turning radius is near perfect and smooth but the kingpin is stripped and they come out of the cup all of the time so I can't tighten them.

I tend to shred (no pun intended) my stock bushings. And it's either from Turning, or rough lands.

I then buy red doh-dohs. That's all I seem to use.

i ride regular krux 4.0's.  i also swapped out the regular kingpin for the grind king ones. no hanging up. stage 10's do look nice.
