i've gotten to a point where i only look at shoes in regards to how they skate.

when i see some sneaker head in some flourescent nikes... i just think, "nah, there's too much stitching there... the laces would tear up too quick... the sole is too thick... would that material last long?"

Skate-ability is the most important but I just wouldn't wear some oompa loompa shit.

One colored shoe with white/gum sole and white/black side logo if it has one and isn't pink or purple that skates well=Sold

Who had the Shoe Goo trick, where you inject the liquid Shoe Goo into the toe stitching and it lasts like months and doesn't look any different?  I wanna try that, I haven't had a new shoe with toe stitches since then, though...

Uh, I think someone on here posted it...when you get a new pair of shoes, you get liquid Shoe Goo and cut the tip off so you can inject it straight into the shoe.  So you go into the tiny holes of the toe stitching and squirt it straight in...it seeps through the holes and goes under the top layer of leather or whatever and affixes it to the bottom layer, and also apparently makes the stitching rock hard.  I still haven't tried it, though.

the same tech with superglue is far superior. just put little dabs on the main wear areas and be stoked that your shoes start lasting a LOT longer.  

there's two kinds of superglue, the gel kind and the liquid kind. make sure to get the liquid kind- the gel shit sucks. the gel stays tacky and shit for about a half hour, but the liquid dries in a minute or two, so you can even apply it mid-session if you're trying something over and over and over and over....

and its cheaper than shoe goo.

and you don't end up with big rubbery boogers hanging off your kicks.
