you get fat props from me.  Granted, I have been out dry spot searching in the dead of winter, but it's usually so fucking cold my body locks up and refuses to do anything except shiver.  I hate the fucking cold.

Just approach it like any other out door winter activity and dress appropriately. I used to play a lot of out door hockey and I still snowboard. The cold sucks but you gotta deal.

that's rad, chuck. snowboarding is fun. i started in 1988.  polly, you should give it a try.  the only thing that sucks about the board on your feet, is no kick flips. and if you ride in bounds, you wont get caught in an avalanche.

Snowboarding is wicked fun. It's right under skateboarding for me, and ANYONE can do it. And, fun fact, you can drink about 4 times what you normally can over the course of a day. At least that's how I feel. I scored a season pass with 9 extra tickets to other resorts for $100 this year! Unheard of!

And snowboarding is just that... snowboarding. There are some "purist" skaters that like to rip on snowboarding. Guess what? Skating and snowboarding are two different things. It's so fun bombing runs or launching off kickers and that feeling of catching air. And finding spots to build quarter pipes so much fun.
