haha I've tried riding an old deck on snow in Tahoe... so fucking hard.  Pretty much no grip and lots of slams!

That's how I made my first ever snowboard. Thrasher had an article on how to take your deck, use inner tubes and the rails to make bindings and ride it tail facing forward. Good times.
