i would vote, but not if Ryan Decenzo ain't up there. Had the cover, unbelievable part in united by fate 5( best part of the year) has won how many best tricks in a row at the dew tour, and can very well take it all with a good placing.. Phelper... where's DECENZO?

Cole- Not a fan... he has an infinite bag of tricks but he skates like a gorilla and already won. i suppose his slaughter at wallenburg could bump him back up... but i doubt phelps is interested in another double SOTY grant
Malto- He's good and...? he had a little cameo during the BATB tour, but he didn't really 'show up'. bsnb hubba was tight. no major contest acheivments (imo), not enough shredding to deserve an award. dude needs a few more years of experience.
Gravette- took on a lot of kinks. good mag coverage. i don't see phelps liking him that much, though. phelps has always been kind of buddy buddy with past soty recipients, so sorry baby lamb.
Leo-skates rails. the only real 'acheivment' i saw him get was getting on ToyMachine.
P-fans- an am. reach pro status, put out a couple more parts, maybe next year.
Navs- 75% of skateboarding doesnt 'get' navs.
J Brock- i'd be pretty stoked. Pro status, up and comer, video parts, good vibes. rootin' for him!
David G- little man style, white shoes. not feelin' it.
Booze- Everyone's favorite. fast, deep bag of tricks, almost beat Cole going twice as fast at the berrics, and really down to earth. not to mention father status. definite possibility
Grant Taylor- a few more video parts and he'll break out of his shell a little bit, eventually cementing himself into skateboarding's mind. no soty this year.
Mike Mo- too controversial. needs more footy.
P Rod- too controversial, doesn't convey thrasher's 'skate and destroy' image. Transworld, maybe.
the vov- phelps would be the first to admit that vert is dead. vov can't bring it back to life this year... dude rips, for sure, though.
camel dan- more footy, please! we'd all like more of dude, maybe some other time.
hewitt- i'd be more stoked if he brought back the whole 'all terrain' aesthetic to skateboarding.
heath- if only stay gold came out this year...

Leo's been skating different this year, the upgrade from Baker to Toy was for a good reason. I would like to see him get it for sure, he's been killing.

I'm big on David and "little man style" is probably the last way to describe him. He might be small in size but he's got a good mature style. He has been ripping for the past few years and my copy of Extremely Sorry is on its way so I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure he shined through. Not to kiss too much ass, but I think he deserves SOTY. He's one of my faves.

busenitz deserves the win...though just barely. is the real video going to drop before the end of the year? if so, then I think it would cement his win. his part in the adidas international video was gnarly, his batb2 stuff was killer, he skated contests well, he has regular footage in the mag (though he hasn't had a cover this year (yet?), and he has kept it all up from just as good of a year in 2008. some people have a good year here and there and then follow that up with ghost year. he's steady crushin!

Chris Cole has been ripping through every contest this year and has his own week dedicated on The Berrics and has a Zero part coming out. He deserves to be SOTY does anyone agree with me?

no doubt, he has been killing it. im not a big fan of him but he definately deserves it, the only thing is a lot of people dont want anyone to win twice.

What I like about Cole the most is no bullshit. He's on top of everything and has solid sponsors. Unlike certain individuals, he's respectable.
