First off VinnygRabbit you are a fucking twat.  If it weren't for Tony Hawk skateing in contests attended by 30 fucking people back in the early 80s you wouldn't be skateing right now.  Now fuck off and go skate flat ground and do your pressure flips.

The real question is, does anyone really respect Mike McGill anymore?

I'm conflicted.

I think I'll kill myself tomorrow and find out the answer.

This thread is we todd ed.

I was one of those 30 people at an 80's demo, and I was never into his skating. He was always cool but I was bored by his style, I've never been into contest skaters either. That being said I have much respect for him as a business man and the persona he portrays (I don't know him personally). I would never put him up on a pedestal, but I wouldn't knock him off one either

I don't know why I answered this redonkueless... I'm drunk

just wanted to say that the other day i was at the beach and this little kid saw my skateboards and asked me if i skated. i said sure, and he said that he had a tony hawk 'pro board'. needless to say i was skeptical... but after messing around with my board for a while, he ran to his mini van and grabbed his setup.

now, it didn't turn.... but it the wheels were soft enough to flow smooth over any rough ground, the concave was legit, and the grip was, uh, grippy.

if the birdman can get little kids like that some legit skate setups at walmart for like, wat, 50 bucks? then i'm stoked.
