Some kind of DC shoe.  They didn't last too long.  That was back in the day when I skated every day.  Rain or shine, basement or outside.

My ocd kicks in w/ new stuff. The first thing I do w/ new shoes is drag the toes to put a scuff in them, otherwise it'll drive me crazy. Same thing w/ decks and trucks. It doesn't need to be a huge gash, just a little ding to get past the newness.

Super sierious. I can't enjoy skating something perfectly new. I'd never take a grinder to a pair of trucks, but obviously that guy has a different motivation.

Anyway, back to the thread....

Why not just skate for 10 minutes?

I love taking goofy looking crispy new shoes, skating for a few minutes, then seeing them broken in.

Why not just skate for 10 minutes?

5 seconds to scuff them on a curb. Then I could enjoy the 10 minutes.

I think those would work.

Does anyone remember those Vans that were shaped like shell toes that they sold in Mervyn's in the '90s? I don't even know if they were real Vans, but that was my shit.
