As life gets more complicated and the years tick on I find that the time I have to skateboard, exercise and do the things that I love to be less and less.  The days of 5 hours curb sessions or spending all day at a pool are fewer and less appealing.  So, I have decided to skate to work once a week,  why?  Well, once I hit 35 things like big ollies and the newest trick became less important and just being on the board, enjoying being outside and riding became more important.  Also, doctor said I need more exercise, cholesterol is not the best.  So, my town, Boulder, Colorado has a really intricate system of mulit-use paths which virtually connect most of the city.  I have my wife drop me off within a few miles of my job and I skate in, it is quiet and peaceful and fast and fun.  I have put together a route that allows me to hit some fun ditches and ollie spots.  1 hour of skating before work!  Sweet.  Most people at my job ride bikes into the office, which I do the other days of the week,  but I find that skating into work really mellows me out for the day and gives me a great start to the day....[/size]

I'm 35 and still sk8 everyday...however for the last 2 years have been livin in China...you ever wanna take a sk8 holiday come to china...i live in this podunk town which has 3 parks which are deserted
NOBODY kicks you out of anywhere, in fact the sec guards or cops will probably just wann try it out themselves, smack their tailbone, then allow you to continue to have fun for as long as you want
kinda makes the skateboarding scene in America seem lame, always getting stared out like or treated like shit

and skating down the street in China traffic is like a video game but you only get 1 life...definetly gets yer blood going!  the one thing i find is how easy it is to cover long distances on a skateboard...i wonder why any of the poser-environmental people havent picked up on it

Because they're too busy bitching about shit to actually do something about it.  Not that I care.  I openly litter and brush it off with saying that "every day is earth day"

Longboarding doesn't count.  Paul, you have the visual aid right?
