Thanks man.  But no real danger to me personally.  And it's not going to be as big as expected.  Biggest tsunami to hit so far is about 4 feet.  A considerable wave for sure, but nothing devastating.  100's of thousands of people are evacuated as a precaution anyway though.

I might not know things about stuff, but isnt a 4 foot wave just a wave? doesnt sound like a tsunami to me... sounds like something that would be fun to body surf

It's very different from a normal wave.  This wave has no back.  So the wave hits, but doesn't pass.  A normal wave is energy moving through the water, with a tsunami, the water is all rushing forward. 

Not a big deal this time, but the potential is still there for a great deal of damage, even if the tsunami is only 4 feet or so high.
