If your reg, a counter-clockwise spinner is a frontside and the opposite is backside. Same as in regular stance but your starting backwards.

that letter some douche wrote in the february issue (I think) calling out the thrasher heads for "mislabeling" tommy sandoval's frontside half-cab was pretty funny. phelps' response was appropriate.

but yeah, indy trucks is right. in terms of half cabs - its the opposite of regs. if you're blind 90 degrees through the spin that shit is frontside. its the starting point of many trick-related arguments I'm sure - there are people that have been skating for years that still get this wrong and it irks me.

and you're right too, redline - either way is still a halfcab. the thing is, if they are backside the word "backside" is usually left out - the direction is mostly only labeled when they're frontside.

I don't know, it's been pretty even on both sides from my perspective on the whole FS BS argument.  I always thought, like in Jimmy Carlins fakie 180 flip, that that shit was fakie frontside, but I could see how someone would make the argument that he is spinning backside.  I don't know, it's tough, especially when you get into like 180 fakie 5-0s and shit.  180 switch nosegrind?  Hurricane or 180 to switch bag lady?
