I used to think you were a shameless self-promoter of a brand. (We've seen many before.) But your grip seems pretty legit. Well rounded team, supporting the Thrasher Homies. I got respect for you man, Live the dream. One love.

i would have to agree with this.  can a guy get a full sheet without any type of cheesy graphic cut out in it? or do i have to rock the design.  because that's killing it for me.

so, i shot an email to Mr. De Camp about his grip and ask to try some out (from hearing all the good things about it/curiosity) before blowing $13 on a crappy product (which i expected, but was proven wrong). he ended up sending me all three designs to try out, which wasn't expected, so i put the matrix design. first off, this grip is super thin and was a burden to peel off the backing (i used two people), but after i got it off, it went on the deck pretty nicely w/ no bubbles and/or creases. now cutting it was a challenge because you got caught on all of the angles. i set it up and went to skate it a bit. at first it was weird, like on kickflips you could feel the empty spaces a little, but after a few, it was feeling good. it stuck to your feet nice and felt just all around good grip. i really appreciate Mike sending me some and i recommend you to buy it

Thanks Tanner. All great points my friend. Im very fortunate to have such a talented group of skateboarders giving me honest experiences and information.

I will take all of this into consideration in future development, and highly appreciate everything you all have done. Voluntarily too. So thanks guys.

no problem ,man. everyone i skate with tripped out on it, but they think its some ill shit. i hooked my brother up with "flower" sheet and im saving the "evolution" sheet for a zip zinger or similar cruiser im gonna get.

and i agree with DtotheRob on the just black, plain sheets, 'cause i like just black grip sometimes, but you could use your grit (which is super sticky, love it!) on plain black and make a boss sheet of grip!

p.s. thanks for the stickers lol

oh yeah, i forgot to say that i re-gripped my board that i was skating for like a week with the grip, even though your site says not to, but its working great. the old grip came off clean with no problems or leftover adhesive , so i saw no problem in doing that. but, it could have been good luck, so to anyone else who wants to do it, i'd say listen to Mike on waiting to get a new board

I used the all-black matrix grip for the first time today. Gotta say I dug it. (I believe my initial reaction when this thread started was "fuck that bullshit"...) First, putting it on the board, I did find that since it's so thin that I got creases kind of easily, though I was able to work them out afterward. Had no issues at all with peeling or cutting it. Skated it a bit in chill park, and I found that it had a really good feel. I suck arse at flip tricks. I never make my first flip attempt on a new deck. Ever. As soon as I put my board down, I gave it a shot, and stuck it. Did like 8 in a row. I'm not saying that this grip will make your kickflips better, but I can say that it doesn't impede them for me, which was my biggest worry in giving Alchemy a try in the first place.

Thanks Mike for sending me a few sheets to try out. I'm gonna try the evolution (? the one with the fingerprint/zebraprint) on a tranny board. Will let you all know how I like it.

good review susej.  getting older, landing tricks consistently,  i could use all the help i can get, lol!

ok Mike D.  since my local shops shut down, i'm not going to be hitting up the mall for grip.  but with the already elevated cost of your grip, + shipping to north of the border, it had better be damn good grip since i'd most likely be looking at $20 by the time i set up my board. that's steep, considering i used to pay nothing.

my comments were also quite skeptical at first but others seem to be stoked. i'll shoot you an email about a solid piece.

btw, I'm gonna alchemy my next regular board as well, even though the site says the design I've got isn't really designed for what I wanna use it for. I'll give it a shot anyway.
