Yeah man. thats great to hear... He one of the best!
The grip is going into production. I'm getting over the phrase "game changer" blah blah blah.
But it's way different, offering two standalone products and we're already prototyping more exotic shit!
Im always welcome to new opinions and testing so let's stay in touch. Look at how much I've learned from
the homeys here. It's invaluable ~

I got a sneak peek for you...
this is the screen for the Tampa Pro-mo t-shirt our good friend is running by hand.

we've only shown a handful of people. but now that I actually remember my photobucket password
many more "you see it first" moments to come.
Thanks again,

Congrats on the success! I was one of your skeptics when you first came on here, but now I'm getting interested in your products. I just got a gift card from work for a local music store that just started carrying boards. Unfortunately they only carry those crazy lookin grips, so I just I got 3 boards from them with no grip. Where I'm getting at is, if you could send a few samples my way, and I like them enough I'm willing to support your company as much as I can. I'll shoot you a pm, keep up the good work.

So I’ve been riding some Alchemy grip for almost two and a half months now, and I figured it’s about time that I wrote a review for it.  I had the design called the “Matrix.”  I really liked the design initially, but then realized that it’s way too symmetrical for my taste.  This is mainly because of how difficult it is to perfectly line up the grip to your board and, as a result, had crooked grip.  Not really a big deal, but kinda subliminally bothered me.  Also, since I don’t really do flip tricks at all, the purpose of this design was rather useless for me.

But anyway, aesthetics aside, I’ll get into how it skates.  A fresh piece feels a lot like regular grip tape.  I honestly didn’t notice much of a difference at first.  I actually noticed my feet sliding around a bit, but I think that was just because my shoes were worn out at the time.  However, as it wore in, it started to shine.  Not to say the grip improved over time, but stayed more consistent.  When regular grip wears out, it’s very noticeable, with your feet always sliding around and such.  But with Alchemy, even with the grip wearing out, I still have much more traction than with regular grip.  My board right now, 2+ months old and beat to shit, is still fairly skateable.  I guess the moral of the story would be that Alchemy might not be the end-all, be-all solution to all things that grip and rip, but it definitely adds to the longevity of your board.  Especially if you mostly skate parks/transition and don’t have to worry about serious wear and tear on your board.

A few cons I can think of off the top of my head:

-Gripping is a bitch.  You have to be super careful and a friend most definitely helps (as long as it’s not killthegnar…).  We ripped my grip in a few places and had to patch it back up.

-I’m not a big fan of griptape designs.  I made sure mine was black-on-black to make it less noticeable, but it’s still obvious.  Having people at the park always asking about your grip gets kinda annoying too.  But function>form, so it’s not really a big deal.

-Any accidental dark-slides or other damaging contact rips through your grip much more than with traditional grip.

Bottom line:  All other factors aside, I like skating it a lot.  I would like to always be skating a sheet, but wouldn’t want to pay $13 for each one.  Although since it adds to the longevity of the board, it may actually make the board worth $13 more.

(PS, if you want to let me sample a sheet of the fingerprint design, I’d be more than grateful Smiley)

Hey I got the samples last week! really appreciate it man.

I haven't had much time to skate lately but I did give the grip a try and let me say it is legit, to say the least.

I got Evolution and Flower of life, im riding the evolution right now and it really does feel great under your feet. im still trying to get used to the way it looks but function wise i have no complaints.
my kickflips have just been slapping up into my back foot and it feels good. I also had the funnest session last night down this mellow 'hill' that ends at an oversized man hole cover thing and i was just ollieing over that thing with the board just glued to my feet, it was great. that one belongs in the things you are stoked on thread.

anyways, i really like the evolution but im still kind of curious to try the other ones, i got the flower of life waiting on me, and i think when im through with those im gonna have to buy the matrix cause its the one im most interested to skate. the gripping part was a little different but not too hard. i kept thinkin i was gonna rip it while peeling it off the backing paper but it turned out alright.

all in all i'd say it's pretty good grip, not so drastically different that it's gonna change the way people skate, but in my opinion it is a definitely a step up from the others out there.
About the $13, its been mentioned before and i def agree, if you go through boards weekly i'd give it a second thought, but since boards usually last me a good couple months i think i'm gonna go with them. I gotta free weekend finally so i am more than ready to skate like there's no tomorrow, so ill probably be back here to comment on how it holds up.
thanks again for the samples, man.

Honest words.
Thanks Homey. I'll def. hit you with some other grip asap. It hit's me hard to think of how many great friends I've made from this thread.

Thanks to you all.

I KNOW that many of us here deplore the X-Games. and all of the other contest circuits.

Im not backing any of them. But I am backing my homey Anthony Schultz.

The voting on RealStreet is closing soon.

Let's hit them with some last minute blast. Vote for Anthony. I appreciate all of the skateboarders in the ranks, but only one is my friend. And if you read the most recent interview in theMAg. you'll know how good a guy Anthony really is. He needs some of that crispy X-Games green.

Vote Schultz.

Aw fuck. no mas. Against Dae anyone is gonna end up a long-shot. Always backing the homey tho. I tried G!

SO, we made some new updates to the website... Well, more or less just posted a newsletter. and launched our official catalog.

check them here:

http:alchemygrip.com
http:alchemygrip.com/cat.asp

there's a bunch of stuff in there to see. The all black grip explained. Our newest creation Alchemy Blind packaged T's and of course our patented traction system ^_^

But, you'll notice we haven't released any new designs.
We'll be releasing them in the next update, but (and this is where you come in) We never move forward on new tech before it's thoroughly tested. Our current designs strength is definitely attributed to your trials of them and the thoughts and analysis given voluntarily by you, here.

As we receive new prototypes and materials samples, I'd be grateful to enlist your help once again! I promise it will be fun. Maybe even educational! Ha ha, naw.

Let's skate.

PS can you spot the Forum member within the catalog images? I'll have to get his permission to post the photo here. It's so good.

you'll also be seeing our new banner here and there. It's freaky.
