My friend always uses Arnica salve when he rolls his ankel.  I've used those giant physical therapy rubber bands on mine for years, to help stretch and strengthen the joints, and recommend them.

Can't wait for my new shoes to arrive.  My pushing foot is fucked up and they'll help in the short term.  It doesn't hurt so much really, but something is definitely not right, and probably isn't going to get right anytime soon.

Whenever I roll my ankle I always do 15-20 minutes in a bucket of ice water, 15-20 out with some tiger balm (about 5 times). I swear up and down that this shortens healing time. Sometimes I even do it again the next day.

My rap sheet, BTW:
Broken leg - tibia and fibula, spiral fracture, 2 clean breaks, 3 fucked up cracks.
Broken collar bone - sucks super bad because nobody knows you're injured and claps you on the shoulder.
Ankle that basically rolls itself without me rolling it. It just feels like I sprained it from nothing sometimes.
Wrists that haven't really healed for the last 7 or so years.

That sounds like a story that Jay Franzmeier would make up.

I miss that guy too. He really knew his skateboarding. I have a feeling we all could have learned a lot from him.

Does It Really Matter?; do you know anything about his whereabouts?

feet are the worst thing to damage period. Atleast you can support your ankle but with my broken foot i cant even push, it sucks. I have broke part of my foot and cant even stand up without being in really bad pain, worst thing when you cant skate few over a week!

And it continues…

I’ve been having sinus trouble; I think it’s from cutting a hole in my wall. That’s my latest injury.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a concussion without damaging your head?

I think I received a mild form just yesterday.  It was a cold dark evening when me and my friends were skating in this park near this high school. And we were just messing around, trying tricks we don't usually do.  To cut the story short,
one of my friends a landed nollie bigspin and I tried to do a fakie bigspin, almost landed it on the first couple of attempts. When I tried again, I landed it, shot out backwards, and instinctively landed on my hands (feeling the shock of the impact rush to my head). Now, I would usually get up and dust myself off, but I felt confused and dizzy as I was trying to pick myself up. Once I finally got up, I felt fine but once I started driving I started getting headaches and felt dizzy again. As I got home, I drank water and the headache/dizziness went away...

From personal experience, I can tell you this is possible.  I grew up in the mountains, and was super into snowboarding during the winter in high school/college.  I spent a lot of time in the backcountry building big jumps into powder landings, and got a couple pretty nasty concussions from dropping out of a trick into a bombhole, getting nailed in the chest with my knees and exploding.  My head didn't hit anything, but my brain definitely still got bounced around in there from the impact.  Week long headaches, nasuea and a ringing in my ears.  Good times.

On a more positive note, between the new shoes and taping up my toes good, I feel I'm minimizing the unrightness going on in my foot lately.
