Looks like Karma caught up with me for my snarky comments in this thread.  I managed to roll the other ankle yesterday which is about a month and a half after the last roll I posted in here.  Fortunately, this one was more tweak and less roll.

I might look into getting some mid or high tops.  It might be just dumb luck but I can’t think of an instance when I have ever rolled my ankle in a pair of Chuck Taylors which are the only non-low tops shoes I have ever skated in.

Twisted my knee last week.  Can walk but can't put any pressure on my left leg... kinda worried.  Dr. appt. next week.

I've never myself really had any injuries bad enough to share on here from skating, but i have a friend who broke his leg and has permanently damaged his knee from it. He has a plastic cover on his knee cap and its hard for him to shred anymore, which sucks cause he was awesome.  Cry

I shattered my knee when I was 16, I was in a wheelchair for months not to mention how long I was in a cast and brace.  10 years later I was skating good again, now I'm getting even better and it's been almost 21 years exactly. There is always hope...

Back from the doctor, prognosis: strain of knee, medial collateral ligament.  Got a brace on it which really helps and follow up appt in 2 weeks.  Hopefully it heals up good.

not a real injury, but i fell on my wrist a month ago and keep falling on it all the time and it gets worse instead of getting better. can't even drink out of a bottle with that hand at the moment. guess i pick up some wrist guards tomorrow and while i'm at it, some spandex shorts and roller skates :/

Strained the quadracept muscle in my left leg.  Its mild enough that I will keep skating on and re-injuring it for the next six months.  Should be fun.

I'm 15 and i hurt a lot but i don't give a fuck i'm skating
ive twisted and hurt my ankles so much that there is a continual pop when i move my foot/ankle
my knees are really sore some times and i have scars all over my body
i have perpetual gashes on my knees and elbows because i tear the scabs open so often ive fallen on my back
so hard many times that ive knocked the wind out of my self

but still i dont feel that bad after all this and i just keep skating i
hope all of you who are injured to get well soon

My left knee is finally healing a bit. I had bone bruises from last October, then they got better, so I did it again this September! I rolled my ankle the other night skating some banks at the police station here in Vancouver, but because there are no parts left in there, it was fine the next day. Today a smacked my knees on some concrete and they each have a neat little bump sticking out of them.

I tweaked my knee today, and the meniscus flipped to the middle of the joint, so it can't straighten. Scheduling surgery tomorrow.
