no you can't.  free is nice.   well they were nice about my laptop.  said they'd replace the hard drive under warranty, so no cost.  they said they would try to retrieve the data, but it would cost 100-180 bucks. i said that's fine.  i guess i can't really complain either.  if it wasn't covered and i was told it would cost $180 to have all this done, i would be fine with that. 

plus it is only going to take about a week. and during this time of year, that's not bad.

awesome!  i got my laptop back yesterday!  2 day turn around and they were also able to retrieve my data.  plus they guy came over this morning to set up my home network and install a media server. all in it cost me $370. that included the new hard drive.  stoked.
