People in the south are pussies who just won't skate a spot if theres a little crack on it.

Most ridiculous statement EVER!

the session was kinda hard on the knees and my butt was bruised and sore from the day before, but it was nice. roger won't take it easy on you, but with the right moves, you can get 'ol roger to do what you need him to do. i am backing ( Wink) roger...

I remember when I was like 14 I thought skating a really shitty board would make me that much better when I got a good one.
Was anyone else this stupid?

I used to think that fat people could only marry other fat people and that girls weren't allowed to drive trucks.

I've always had better luck riding tight trucks when skating vert, but not just any ol' tranny.

same here.  although i'm by no means a skilled vert rider.

as for set up, i snapped the deck friday so put a new one together. i bought bearings a couple weeks ago and today decided to treat them to some 56mm spitty parkburners.  can't wait to work it all in.

EVERY SINGLE 12 YEAR OLD KID IN SEATTLE IS UNDER THAT SAME MISCONCEPTION...

kids around here ride their shit so tight that i can't even make their boards turn, and i'm 6'2" and about 200 lbs.

and then they wonder why they have a stiff as fuck style and can't land anything.

I would say "tighter" trucks help skating vert.  Trackers come to mind 'cause no matter how loose they were, they still didn't turn.   Grin

I joke, but it may be the reason that they were so popular back in the day.  I had a set of sixtrack w/ultralight baseplates that were extremely stable on a big ramp.  Somebody stole them from me around 1998.

I had those six tracks and busted the baseplates. The plastic wasn't so good skating in the cold. I switched to Indys, Ventures and Gullwings.

I had a bunch of friends who had aluminum baseplates as well.  They seemed to break just as easy.  Probably because they don't turn...  "surf feel" my ass.
