Antihero 8.38" (just got it today, woohah)
Ace 33
Lamina 55mm wheels
Lucky Abec 7

Been wondering if switching up to wider trucks might feel good - was considering Ace 44s / Indy 149s / Thunder 149ers.

If that board had wider trucks the wheels would stick out.    Unless you're doing the mega ramp what's the point?    I don't know I hate seeing my wheels stick out when looking down.
WTF are Indy 54s?

well, the perspective in that photo doesnt reveal that the trucks are in fact a little narrow for that deck.
they are ace 33s.

ace trucks 44s are for deck width 8.25-8.75.

as for indys:
139 = 8 inches - for decks between 7.75-8.25"
149 = 8.50 inches - for decks between 8.25-8.75"

thunders:
145 = 7.75" and narrower
147 = 7.8" - 8.125"
149 = 8.25" or wider

I think I had that pretty straight.    I ride an 8.25 and 149s don't allow the wheel(or bolt) to show.

well, u said the wheels would stick out if my trucks were wider, which isn't actually true, as the deck is 8.38" and the trucks i have are meant for 8-ish decks...
so i could step it up a notch and go for trucks that are for 8.25" decks or wider and the wheels still wouldn't stick out.

well, peace, whatevs!  Grin

I had my wheels too far in, and it always bothered me. So i just went a little bigger, just a little bit, and it fuckin fixes it. Makes it ALOT better.

the Indy 149s definitely take some getting used to after Ace 33s i had previously.
notably heavier, and flips require stronger flicks etc.
but i think i'll be comfy with them soon enough.
a friend just said Thunder 149s are way lighter than Indy 149s...dunno if that's true...
