I wanted to try an eight.

everyone should just take the bull by the horns and go up to 8, its seriously the best thing you can do! you wont look back! haha. i wanna go up slightly bigger than 8.

It's pretty burly.  Flips are harder, but I found a bike path with all these cracks from roots, and was blasting some goodtimes ollies off of them like a motherfucker.  I might try a 7.8 next.
yeah, I agree an 8 is probly one of the best best things you could buy,
the best thing to buy: 8.75

I recently went through a "bigger is better" phase. Biggest I got up to was 8.12. It was awesome on big tranny, but otherwise it didn't do it for me after I got over the intial feeling of how awesome I was for riding a bigger board. Right now I got a 7.87 habitat that I'm digging, also had a 7.9 antihero that was the best deck I've had. Digging that size right now.

8.75 is just retarded. anything over 8.5 is pointless unless your like 50 years old, then im ok with it.

a friend just flatspotted my black label wheels, so he gave me a slightly used set of powell bowl bombers spf, 64mm...

it looks so stupid, wheels that size on an 8.25 board, but they are the fastest and the pool coping feels like no coping. anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

thats not that bad, im riding 60s on my 8.25. i dont think its that odd looking. HOWEVER, when i first got into skating and didnt really know any better i was riding a 7.5 deck with 63mm wheels. that was just retarded looking

8x32 Anti-Hero deck
Theeve trucks, 5.25 TIAX (just breaking them in, switched from Indys)
Bones wheels, 54mm (or 53mm on occasion)
Bones Swiss bearings

Like I said, I switched from Indys. I rode Independents for a long time, ever since I was a kid.  I did have a stint with Venture Feather Lights but switched back to Indy in 99 or 2000 when I turned man size.  The switch to Theeve was due to their titanium build (light and strong, no argument there)   They are not broken in but they do turn nice so far and I was able to 5-0 slash grind some bare curbs with ease (Thrashin style).  Hopefully they live up to my expectations.  I'm a big fan of technology and there has never been a titanium truck before... hopefully the Birdman did these trucks right.
