did not know that. so how do they rate them then?  and without a rating of some sort, how can you say they are better than one submitted for testing?

They design their bearings specifically for skateboarding.  The abec system is really meant for engineers.

Black Magic is my favorite grip tape... to bad I live in a Jessup town

I use to think bearings didn't mater... in some cases that's still true.
I've been skateing for 25 years now and I couldn't afford Bones bearings till I was 25,
but I haven't gone back since

"The ABEC scale is a system used throughout the manufacturing industry for rating the manufacturing tolerances of precision bearings, developed by the Annular Bearing Engineering Committee (ABEC) of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA). Bearings are rated using an odd number between 1 and 9. The higher the number, the greater the manufactured precision of the bearing. Bearings manufactured within tighter tolerance ranges provide greater accuracy of shaft rotation and contribute to higher speed capability. However, the ABEC rating does not specify many other critical factors, such as smoothness of the rolling contact surfaces, ball precision, and material quality."

Shoe size?

Hardware length?

It's getting hard to tell when people are people are goofing off, and when they're being serious.
