I'm currently riding a skateboard thats about 12 years old. Blank deck, indys, no idea what bearings and old spitfires.

I just bought some new spitfire wheels today and will buy a new deck next week then new trucks week after.

My opinion is that it's just bollocks to get kids to buy bearings. I've had abec 1 bearings that lasted for 3 years, so I guess it means fuck all.

It means a lot of shit.  If you're an engineer.  Otherwise no, it doesn't actually mean anything to skateboarding.  Skateboards would never even reach the speed that it would matter even in an abec 1 bearing.  It's just a marketing tool for stupid kids and their stupid parents.

yeah, that's what I got outta that wiki quote.  I've never noticed a difference, really, except for how long they last.

just freshened up from a rolled ankle and foot choppin. now rockin' the five six one 7.5 deck, 51mm gold wheels, independent trucks, and some swiss bones bearing. oh, and some what it [dot] be hardware. wha whaaa.

Finally got a whole new set up... but its basically all the same stuff as my last one, just not falling apart now.

Same here, my previous board was super bendy because it was cracked, my wheels had yellow fever and the grip was all dirty.

Threw on a new deck, wheels and bearings.... its all crisp and smooth now.



Antihero 8x32, 53mm Bones STF, Swiss Ceramic bearings and Theeve TIAX trucks.

I didnt just replace my deck, i had to get new everything... both my trucks were grinded down to the axle and then some, all my bearings were starting to break, my wheels were coned and my deck was soggy and chipped... its awsome having all new stuff, except it doesnt feel like my deck yet... its sorta like riding someone elses set up all the time...

Went to buy a new deck today and the shop had no griptape left. What kind of skate store has no griptape.  Angry
