Seems this is a "gateway thread", where new posters dabble, make their first posts, leading to other darker, more dangerous threads.

very true.

well, this is my current set up:

7.75 Naysayer "NaysLayer" board, new 55mm Prize Fighter wheels, krux downlows, way past their prime bones swiss bearings. that was taken a few days ago, so it doesn't look much like that anymore, however.

This is bothering me as of late... How do I get my trucks to stop squeaking? Making them tighter is not an option.

are they new? sometimes you just have to break them in...otherwise get softer bushings.

Try putting a tiny, tiny bit of oil in the pivot cup.  My old indys were squeaking like crazy so I put some motor oil on my finger and lubed it up, then wiped away the excess oil with a rag - no more squeaks.

I'll try that. And no, they aren't new. That's thing thing I've never understood- I've had some sets for years and they still squeak.

I understand this is the un-official new guy thread, so I'll post here first.

Given 8.5" team deck
Indy 149's
Bones Swiss bearings
Autobahn clear Core 53's

who gives a shit about hardware and grip...
