santa cruz new wood is good. or basically anything with bone-ite, or vertical lamination.  those are the strongest.

not too sure. but i remember in the late '90's, santa cruz came out with a fiber composite board called nuwood.  it was supposed to be uber strong, but it sure didn't last up in the north.  one day skating in the cold, it snapped and shattered into a half dozen pieces.  i haven't found a link, but did find this,

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.ballard/paul/sk8boardworld/deckconstruction.htm

gimmicks come and go, but 7 ply canadian maple is tops.

Remember the Santa Cruz Everslick models that had the special concaves written on the side?  I had a Tom Knox with cruz missile concave or twin kick concave or something.

My friend rolled off a small jumpramp on one of those (I think it was) nuwood boards, and the square formed by the bolts of his front truck broke right through. Nearly brand new board with a big square hole in it.

$lave sucks. I snapped my nose 10 minutes after getting it doing a 180. Bullshit decks.

Worst decks I've had definitely go to Girl. Sorry Crailtap, but every one of your boards I've bought from you have broke within the hour.

Best decks I've had are blanks, ironically. The runner up is Alien Workshop though but they still do not last me as much as I'd like to. I still buy them every chance I get though.

My understanding is that Creature and Santa Cruz are the same decks from the same factory.  If that's true than I'd say they are pretty good.  I have had good luck with Creature wood and really like the shapes.  Some people complain that they are flexy and I notice it a little but I like it.  It feels more springy than spongy and I hit the scales at around 200 lbs.

My preferred boards are Anti-Hero though.  Shapes are good and they take a serious beating.  Mine are usually pretty dinged up and beat to piss before they finally snap and it's usually pretty obvious/expected why they do when it happens.

girl boards are awful. I've never had one last more then 2 days and I rarely break boards.
however, after taking chucks advice, my nash board has lasted me so many gnarly sessions. except now my lapper has some scratches in it...

Stabby, I was surprised to hear someone bigger than me finds Creature decks strong. I've had 7 or 8  of them, and only 3 of them lasted more than a week. And one of those was an 8.6. I broke the SC in 2 or 3 tricks. Broke a creature in 5 minutes on flat before too. I've heard before that C and SC are the same wood, and that would make sense to me, but I really don't know.
