What's wrong with Skateboarding? (official thread)

Skateboarding is fine. Between Freddy Gall's mangina and the Mongos Locos, were right where we need to be. lol

If you are referring to all the other fuckery (boring ass street league, shoe contracts, shitty media depictions, mall shops etc.), then none of that was skateboarding to begin with.

go out and do hoodrat stuff with your friends on a skateboard. have fun and stop worrying about the dumb shit.

I would like to submit my evidence that skateboarding is, in fact, dead. 

In the past week I have had two separate instances in which I was skating on public property and a police car showed up and the officer never even bothered to get out and talk to me.  One instance was at a school that was closed for the weekend.  A police car cruised through the parking lot, driving by twice with me skating in plain sight, and left without coming back.  The other instance was at a park at night.  A police car pulled into the parking lot and used a spot to hide and clock people coming down a hill which was about 20ft from where I was taking advantage of a few banked accessibility ramps under a street light.  I kept at it and he never bothered me in the 45 minutes he was there and didn’t even drive by on his way out.   

This indicates to me that skateboarding is dead and has pussified to the level that there isn’t an automatic assumption that the presence of a skateboard infers that I am looking for a place to hide a body and scratch my gang affiliations. 

Given the above, I am happy that skateboarding is dead as fuck.   As skateboarding writhes in its death throes, more and more shreddable concrete seems to roll itself out in front of me.   Granted I have seen more skatestoppers on public property than I care to recall but that’s another topic.
