i was driving around today and i just noticed that the 18,000 ft concrete park in town is gone. apparently it got dozed to make room for a new transit way. it was only about 5 years old too

went to the skatepark today for the first time in a week, it was littered with trash and spilled beer, cigarette butts, etc and smelled like shit, just like always cause the kids here are ungrateful little shits who don't bother to clean up and turn it into a party zone

then the public works truck showed up, I felt bad  because there was just this old dude with a bag who had to pick up all the trash, I apologized and helped him and he told me that the park is getting torn down soon so they can put in a Shopping Maul, because the city got a good deal on the land and people treat the park like crap.  Our other park got torn down last year, I didn't even hear about this and honestly I doubt most of the skaters here care.

It was a good session at least

the problem is I never see people doing it, I think it happens at night when kids just use it as a hang out spot.  I usually go there morning or early afternoon because that's when its not crowded and I know or am familiar with the people there at those times and I know they don't do it.  I pick up trash when I see it but its always there.  Not to mention the ever popular "sk8boarding sux" and "suck big dicks fuck yeah" graffiti everywhere
