a few years ago, some buddies and i were skating a gap on evening. a carload of hicks kept driving by and yelling at us, so after a few passes, my buddy yelled back. they screeched to a halt and began talking shit. long story short, one of my friends socked one of them, and we bailed. they ended up chasing us in their car down an alley with a MASSIVE dip in it. they completely bottomed out, ripping their exhaust off. then, in the swerving after bottoming out, they hit the side of a building, pretty much totaling their souped-up, lowered little shitbox.

we just went back to the house and laughed and laughed and laughed. we later found out that the kid driving was borrowing the car without permission from his stepdad.

in nyc, there are always hecklers and whatnot and you learn real quick not to respond otherwise you can get into some crazy situations. i have a pretty good guage of when to just leave and avoid mishaps, but i know of lots of kids that have been jumped, had cameras stolen, or had to run from bottles and crap being thrown at them. i always carry pepper spray in my camera bag, just in case. haven't had to use it yet (luckily), but it is worth having in case something goes down. hitting someone enrages them and can snowball, but a quick spray to the eyes disables them and gives you time to get out.

it is worth buying, but they kinda treat it i was buying a gun. i got it in some random pharmacy in queens and they had to take my info down and told me i am not allowed to take it to jersey. i guess it is banned there or something. whatevs, i hardly ever go there anyway.

This one day, me and my friends were chilling, at WSVT ofcourse.
These dudes come up, drunk as can fucking be. One of my first rules is, i dont mess with drunk dudes. and this story partially explains why.

They start talking shit, we tell them to step off, were just here to skate. They keep fucking with us, so we bounce. Done. But they follow us, so we see how far it will go. We get on the trolley (like a subway i guess) and we go to nearly the other side of town. we get off by my house, and they are still following us. I was about 13 or 14 at the time. They keep following us, and we lead them to a park under a freeway, called Snatch Park. We almost get there, and finally my friend gets fed up with their bullshit. He turns around, runs up to one of them, and punches them in the stomach. Ofcourse, the man barfs all over my friend. (why i dont fight drunk people). My friend gets more agitated, and hits him across the face. They run.
Horrible story. But i feel as though I need to contribute to this discussion.

The only bad situation I've had is when I was 14 or something, skating a sidewalk near my house and a truck drives by and slows down, two guidos leaning out of yelling etc so ignored them and flipped them the finger.  They got enraged and one got out, in a shirt and tie and jeans for some reason (?) and started going after me.  I kind of just back in circles while he did the snarling thing and then got back in his truck and left

two weeks I saw them again and someone I was with told me there's a whole family of them and that they're all named Bob
