Life can be so surreal. In a matter of ten minutes I went from flirting with the cute girl in my gym class to giving CPR on the happy go lucky kid in my class. I don't know if he made it, I was there till the paramedics took him. I don't know how you do it ze RJM. I called in at work and went to the skate park, now I'm gonna build a vert wall for FTR

Everyone take care of yourself

Woah!! Details please. And that's so rad you were able to help. There are a ton of shitty people in the world that wouldn't do a thing. Big props to you brutha!

I guess they knew he was epileptic but for some reason he stop breathing and had no pulse. It happen at the end of class. Coach dismissed the class, me and a kid I just met stayed after to help. I've been around for a few seizures but I've never seen one go real bad. We had to flip him over to do chest compressions, when the defib arrived I had to yell at them to just put it on IT'S AUTOMATIC! No matter how much training you get it isn't the same till you go through the real deal

I'm still shaking I've been doing everything I've been putting off for weeks. Just finished this

When I called into work I told them I'm not coming in today I'm just gonna live. I guess I'll find out Thursday if he did. I said he was a kid but he was probably 25, that's still a kid to me

Damn Krusher. That's pretty amazing you kept yourself calm in that situation. That man is in my thoughts. One love.

I forgot to mention after I called in at work and went to the park; there was a dude taking pics of a chic just wearing a trench coat... I saw her boobies and I liked them!
I think Fred Gall was there too, I didn't have the courage to tell him I didn't vote for him.

As I was taking the trash to the curb tonight I had noticed that one of the trashcans was missing and a Whole Foods paper grocery bag was left on my side stoop. Inside the bag was about 18 pounds of porn. My guess was the previous owner had just recently discovered the internet, but I couldn't understand what they needed the trashcan for?

Life is so crazy, that's why I love it.

Be strong bro. I've been there. After a surf a couple years ago, me and 2 friends dragged a guy out of the ocean and I gave him mouth to mouth for 20 minutes before paramedics arrived. He didn't really have any chance, but I couldn't live with myself if I hadn't tried. Messed me up for a bit. Thought I saw him in the supermarket, at a restaurant... Heavy stuff. Hope your story turns out better than mine did.

Dude, I carry a license (which is expired) that validates that I know and can perform CPR. Though I took a class and learned the basics I will never exercise my specialty because I would be scared shitless when the time comes. I remember when my friend back in high school had a seizure in front of me (just when I was leaving the cafeteria) I just looked at him  shaking with a blank stare as I was going into shock and just ran towards the exit. Call me a wuss  for running but seeing a friend almost die in front of me was just unusual to me. I dont know.
Just hang in there Krusher.

Damn, craziness in here. I've never learned CPR but now maybe it's time I learned after hearing all of this..

Anyways, I'm taking three difficult classes for college and it's not allowing me to work that much. No work=no money to skate indoors. Feels bad man.

Also, I just recently went through a huge breakup. Long story short, I dated a girl who lost her mom when she was young and who doesn't live with her dad because he's a fuck up. She now lives with her real mom's best friend at the time of her death and she's a complete psychopath. Even when I'm the "best guy to ever had come into both of their lives (being a gentleman and all) her "mom thing" threatened to kick the girl out of the house if she didn't stop dating me. She's goes to CCS (greatest art school in Detroit and surrounding area) so her work load doesn't really allow much time for extra curricular. So we broke up, after been dating for a couple months and getting super attached. Now I'm not even allow to speak to the poor girl or she gets kicked out of the house.

I got the same thing barely any hours for me and dang hard classes are kicking my butt.  I am ready for it to warm up so I don't have to pay for the indoor park.

I'm going through some girl probs as well. Met a great girl who lives in Boston, but I feel uncomfortable with the whole long distance thing. And she's telling me she's an "all or nothing" girl which sucks and is gonna force me to make a decision that I really do not want to.

Also, I feel P/S and Greg's "strapped for cash" pain. I had to drop a class which means I won't graduate on time. I'm working 2 days a week 30 mins from home.

Good fucking job on jumping to it and doing what needed to be done.  Sounds like you just saved
a life, which is a very amazing and honorable thing.  It seems most people in your position would've
just stood around looking at other people to do it, believe me, I've seen that way too many times.
Nice job on your part though!  Have to keep us updated on the kids status.

I was on shift yesterday, second coldest day of the winter so far, today being the first.  We had a
busy day, fire 30 minutes after I show up for my shift, there for around 4 hours, nothing spectacular.
But as soon as we get back in service the ambo tones were crazy, we chased the ambo on one call,
had to get a ambo from a neighboring town because ours was at a different call, and a poor old lady,
with alzheimers we're told, was reported missing, the cops found her in her neighbors backyard,
buried under a tarp with sweatpants and t-shirt on, that's it, poor lady's legs were frozen at a
45 degree angle and she couldn't speak, the ambo got her outta there very quickly and good thing
to, it was about -4 yesterday with wind chill, another half hour she would have passed, terribly.
I hope she is okay with her family around today.  Be careful out there fellas.

My co-worker summed up the vibe here quite nicely yesterday:

Quote
I want to go home and take a bath in Listerine

Sorry to hear of the girl troubles.  Thats pretty fucked up about the one girl living with her Mom's friend.  My lady and I had a long distance thing going before I moved out here, and it worked for us, but it wasn't in an 'all or nothing' situation.  Our lives were just a little too crazy for regular relationships at the time.  If you really like the girl, think of this as an opportunity to have a connection with someone without getting in trouble with her for going skating all the time.  That pretty much ruined all my relationships at your age.  Girls saw who they thought I could be, not who I was.

I hate girl trouble, I’ve seen a lot and all of the old adages are true.

Found out he didn’t make it, his name was Eric. He was a picture of perfect health and he had to be do to some genetic dispositions. I thought he might have been 25 turn out he was 41 and lived a long life for all of his problems. We only had 4 classes but he was always happy, helped everyone, and started every conversation; just a good dude. I’m trying to get in touch with his family to let them know that he was unconscious for the whole ordeal, and that he did not suffer through it.

Surround yourself with friends and family. The love you give is your life.

Positive thoughts your way krusher. You did what you could. The guy I tried to help was 25 and in perfect health. The newspaper said he was dead when he was found by fishermen. I don't think his family will ever know that someone was there and tried to help.

wow krusher.   that's too bad.  just remember you did the best you could and that's all anyone, or yourself, could ask for.  peace be with you brother.

so last night was shitty.  basically a friend of my neighbor came over to my house last night, yelling. i went outside to see what the comotion was all about.  i told him to get off my property and he just fucking cold cocked me upside the head. i tried to get back into the house, but he jumped me from behind, choking me. blood was everywhere and he pinned my up against my front door, ramming my head into it, punching me repeatedly.  there was about 10-12 of them on my front lawn, uttering death threats. over a fucking parking spot.

i had no chance. finally, my wife was able to get out and helped get him off me and we were able to get free to call the cops.  they show up, take some statements and say there's nothing they can really do.  i say WTF?!?! look at me!  i was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for a CT scan and x rays.  i have multiple head bruises and fractures in my eye socket and jaw.  my wife suffered a broken hand in the scuffle.  i don't even have a mark on my hands. never got a shot in. i'm supposed to see a plastic surgeon this morning.  after i left, the cops told my wife to flush the weed down the toilet. i'm sure they didn't make the neighbors flush their beer.  they told me that they weren't going to charge him. fuck the police.
