Yep I would call that a shitty weekend. Why do car problems always happen when you’re having money problems?  Gas is 4 bucks a gallon so I’ve been riding my bike

Despite the construction across the street freeing the whole rest of the block, a car was parked right on top of this yesterday.  I don't know how much longer that project is going to be creating beneficial skate conditions at the spot, so the best time to skate it appears to be during weekday morning street cleaning hours for that side of the street.  Its really only approachable from the left as well, unless you happen to skating Haslam's off-road board from Cheese and Crackers.

Just as the weather was getting better, clear skies for the past few weeks etc.
Snow.

11 YEARS?! That's a tough pill to swallow. That happend to my Mom and things turned out better for her. In the past 2 years I've had about 7 or so friends get laid off from their jobs and some of them are still enjoying their time on unemployment. Making websites, having art shows and such but mostly they are enjoying the amount of time they can skate all week.

It sucks looking for a new job so enjoy the time off. For 11 years now you've paid for this opportunity

On my way to work this morning, I saw that this night time spot I've been eyeing near my house just got a makeover which will make it even more fun.  Its on a hill and was a 'handicap ramp' gap to cellar door to hill, but was really more skateable as a gap over the cellar door to mini-tranny to hill.  Now its got more of kicker for the gap to cellar door, more of a philly step, and the gap over the door.

They added a masonry posts and guard rails to the downhill side of the spot.  Its pretty much unskateable now, at least for me.

As I was trying to say before the quote box rudely interrupted me, my dad was laid off last year from his job of 37 years, and after working at a place as a temp since July, was laid off from their about a week ago, good luck man.

Bummer dude.  But DTR is right, maybe its an golden (amber) opportunity to live a better life...

Award winning stout + being laid off = time to start a small brewery business while collecting unemployment...

Best of luck out there.

i for one, second ttchings idea. the world needs more stout (especially of the award winning variety) and if you plan on making different types of beer, i would gladly be your taste tester
