Sounds like it's down to busenitz, pudwill and grant. I'd like to see DB, but I would bet that because pudwill is fresh in everyone's minds at the moment, and grant has been doing so much for/with/in the mag, it's between those 2.

Firing Line: Grant Taylor

I still think Booze killed it more this year.

I must be completely out of touch, I am not all that familiar with Grant Taylor but it seems to be a foregone conclusion that he's got it.  I don’t recall seeing a lot of the dude (outside of the recent Thrasher interview) but I also get him and Peabody confused in footage so I probably just need to pull my head out.

I’d throw my vote to Busenitz because I saw him all over the place and he manages to hold it down while still bringing mainstream coverage to his team and sponsors without coming across like a dirty little whore.  I like how he represents himself and, to me, his skating is everything right about riding a skateboard.  He would still have a job if all of the handrails suddenly disappeared off the face of the planet. 

Picking SOTY has to be tough.  If you left the decision up to me then I would probably just go with whoever stood out in the last dvd that I watched.  Guzman it is.

I feel like it was rigged in Grant's favor this year. The guy rips for sure, but when you become the only guy in history to have the cover two months in a row at the beginning of the year, and the Mag puts out one of your two video parts at the end of the year, you kinda get the feeling that nobody else even had a chance...
