marseilles and burnside are both legendary parks that each have construction flaws and are far from perfect, but both get cited a lot as the best, and for a good reason- they rule!  i honestly think there's smoething magic about those two places.  skating just seemed... easier there.  definitely the best feeling skating those places.

orcas island is great, if only for the journey you have to go thru to get there.  everyone should do it at some point.  take the ferry, camp out, stay a day or two, you'll find better lines the second day.  bainbridge island is like that, too, but way easier (and cheaper) to get to.

really, the best skatepark is the one you find on a roadtrip and session with your friends.  the terrain's not as important as the experience.

my personal favorite?  the banana farm (RIP) in austin, texas.

FDR ............speed, flow, lines for days, great atmosphere, do what you want skate all fuckin night, all kinds of wacky different trannys/bowls/hips/lines  never gets old, made by skaters with money raised by skaters, i mean burnside rocks but fdr is just way funner to skatE....downside.....rough/raw crete , some spots are smoOth, others not , but thats what gives it character....if they could somehow resurface the place it would be UNSTOPPABLE....bring yer 8.5's and 60mm's and GET SOME !!!!!

the lake cunningham has some fun stuff but pads suck dick and the park has no flow...its just a bunch of bowls and a "street" course

how can you say this without ever going there before?  i dont understand why people think the burnside skaters are "out to get you".  if you just skate  and dont snake people they dont give  a shit.  from what ive every time ive been there, they are only "out to get you" if you sit around on your ass and snake them
