the movie was really good but even so it was slightly over-hyped. i wish they would have made gotham city more dark and shit like in the other movies, and after harvey dent gets his face fucked up the special effects were kinda weird and he looked more cheesy than scary. when he started screaming in the hospital room i kinda couldn't help but laugh. i think if it wasn't for heath ledger tho it would have just been another batman movie, his role was great his death was a terrible loss because he showed so much potential in that movie. i needa see it a second time tho, 8.5/10

All I was trying to say is that with epic movies, rather, continuous movies (prequel, sequel, etc.), you can't take out an actor and replace them because it throws everything off.

The reason Christopher Nolan didn't make Gotham so dark was because he wanted to portray it as a city that could be anywhere. Anyone could be living in it, anything could be happening right before your eyes. To make it more realistic isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I did go see it 2 more times after the first. 9.5/10, only because it was 2.4 hours long. Haha.

Not true. Ledger played a good role in the movie but it was still a stellar movie.

yeah, I just saw it yesterday, and I gotta say, it was a fuckin good flick,
but hype-wise, I expected more.  Probably due to the fact that everyone
else ever had already seen it and I had to listen to them go off for a few
weeks before I caught it.  I dug it though and will probably go watch it
again later this week.
