1031 DEMO: WILLOUGHBY, OHIO
As a kid growing up in the Midwest, if there was one thing that we skaters hoped for more than a new spot, it was that a pro team would come through and demo. This was our only chance to see live pros in action—and although deemed politically incorrect, it was also our chance to show off and hopefully make an impression on these guys from California. Shit, how were we supposed to know what was frowned upon? We were too busy cutting the legs off our jeans and eating McRibbs to care. —Joe Hammeke
