day in the life of mike york: do your laundry in albany. fold shirts meticuously. ride bart to sf. take bus to 3rd and army. skate slow and bail flip tricks.

Terry said: Turf's Up! Man, the pro life is tight. If you really just love going skating everyday. At around 30 years old, after that many years in the game, there has to be love to progress or you would be happier just getting a normal job. Keep it up Yorkatron!

Dude has lost more tricks than you ever had
Posted by He's skatin your sitt'n | October 25, 2007 8:07 AM
Your mom's a trick. You just got owned son!
Posted by Terry | October 25, 2007 8:19 AM
Dude doesn't skate everyday, that's obvious. Doing a line where your going so slow your board stops rolling after a trick? It's time to retire kid. Take Scott Johnston for example. He decided he didn't want to milk it and he stopped learning new tricks. He took himself out of the Pro League. Smart dude right. Go out with dignity, don't embarass yourself with sub standard footage that was dope in 96. Most of the Girl/Chocolate dudes knew when to roll into the sunset and retire on a great company. When you hear about Howard and Carroll thinking about retiring after the Lakai video, you have to figure York should step up his game or step away from it all.

Dude, dont hate on York. Didnt he have a major knee injury? He still skates cleaner at age 30(+?) than most 17 year olds. I thought the kickflip footplant was rad.
Posted by Bremerton, WA | October 25, 2007 10:42 AM
the dude can skate, whatever, but seriously, the pro days are over. and he probably knows it too, but that's all he's got.
Posted by who cares | October 25, 2007 11:08 AM

Posted by swollengut | October 25, 2007 11:50 AM

Posted by Frank Rizzo | October 25, 2007 1:53 PM

Posted by stakedoarber | October 25, 2007 8:11 PM
oh, yeah...if york's old skool, then please throw a label on dudes who've been in the game longer...
Posted by stakedoarber | October 25, 2007 8:13 PM
hate to break it to all three of you york fanboys, but that dude was never good, he was just pro when skateboarding sucked and it was okay to skate 2mph. fuck that fool... give it up tweaker.
Posted by dude4life | October 25, 2007 8:20 PM
Skateboarding's a lifestyle...not a competition...Mike's given more to skating with personality and individuality than most ams today. His part in Yeah Right was dope.Haters go jump down some stairs and break your ankles!
Posted by Skrilla | October 26, 2007 6:03 AM
lol i bet all you haters are stair counting, crooked grinding, grass gap ollieing generic prepubescent fucks w/ fedoras and striped shirts.
Posted by nick | October 26, 2007 9:41 AM
Terrible! The best part I ever saw from him was in Mouse - it's been downhill all the way since then. He completely sucked in Yeah, Right! and this footage isn't doing him any favours either. I'd rather jump off the Golden Gate than rep a pair of Deklines....
Posted by Yawn! | October 26, 2007 5:55 PM
fuck you hateboarders.keep on rippin York
