Let's admit it, nobody over the age of 18 would pay money for either a Baker or a Deathwish board. Their graphics look like Disney depictions of the core 'trife life' that these fools are talking about.
Antihero is the genuine article. Buy those boards instead.
The Baker crew may rip, but they (except Reynolds) are mostly image. If I was 12 and living in bumfuck middle America I would really dig this stuff. It represents something that is different than some football obsessed, Walmart dependent hometown that these aggravated Columbine-like kids are stuck in. But, if you have been around a little, then you see it only as a marketing ploy that exploits the fantasy image of a cardboard cutout 'lifestyle'.
fuck it. I'm jealous that they have figured out how to make money off of a vast and relatively untapped market by selling kids images of a dreamworld that supposedly exists on either coast. I see these kids from the midwest visiting New York lurking about with HUGE raver pants,or painted on skin tight jeans, and ghastly facial piercings. Baker should produce Korn or Marylin Manson boards $$$ They would be top sellers.

i agree with what these other turkeys are sayin for the most part. i mean, baker's kind of ill. i like that their ads are super budget. i've never ridden one of their boards, though.
deathwish is a terrible, retarded name for a company, and yea, the graphics look pretty weak, especially the logo. the team is sick though.
why don't they just hire a competent graphic designer? shit, i'll do it!
i'm all for skaters being successful and making money off the business, but they must do it tastefully.

Furthermore, I dont really like "theme" companies like mystery, creature, etc. Seems like everything has to be the Virgin Mary, Skulls, Slime, generic Wanna-be heavy metal art, etc.. Reminds me of when zero was trying to bring back the same thing (which they did a lame job of). Thier fuckin skull looked all unrealistic like a bubbly girl drawing. Not one crack in the skull?? wtf?
