Channel Street is one of the great "under the bridge" DIY skateparks.
WHAT: An ever-expanding series of concrete bowls, spines, extensions, lumps, and bumps ranging from 18-inches tall to 12-feet deep
GOOD: Easily one of the best skateparks in California, it's a fantastic example of DIY skatepark construction. San Pedro has a great scene to go along with it.
BAD: It's all oddball transitions, no 'street course' to speak of
PADS: nope, but you may want a helmet for the bigger bowls
ADDRESS: 630 W Channel St, San Pedro, CA 90731, USA
HOW TO FIND IT: Take the 110 into San Pedro and Exit onto Channel Street. The park is behind the liquor store, underneath the 110 freeway offramp on your right.
