Deep in the foothills of Amador County lies the small town of Ione with one of the best made-for-skate pools in the state of California. A small florf area and mini dish lays next to the bowl. The town is a small one and there is much doubt whether any of the locals go up there to skate.
WHAT: An amazing amoeba bowl ranging from 6ft to 10ft deep complete with pool coping and brick tile. Also a 4-foot mini square dish and banked florf zone with quarterpipes.
GOOD: One of the best bowls in California. The option of camping right next to the bowl is a go.
BAD: The launch ramp/fly-out zone is right next to the big bowl.
PADS: Helmets are required and the local authority will hand out tickets.
ADDRESS: 600 S. Church St. Ione, CA 95640
HOW TO FIND IT: East of Stockton, go east on CA-12 off of Hwy 99 towards Lodi. Turn left onto N. Beckman Rd and then make a right back onto CA-12 East/Victor Rd.
