Pier 3.5 Skatepark Hot

General Info

Weather

Zipcode

City San Mateo
State California
Country United States
Continent North America

The local skateshop owners went to Pier 7 to create a replica in San Mateo. He even brought his measuring tape to have it made as accurate as possible. There are no tourists to run into, no cops, no hot chicks, no booze. Boards sell for a lot less then at the Pier, and there's no street cred in filming a line there. Strategically placed in between the tennis courts and the basketball courts, it's a lot harder to find then the real Pier.

WHAT: Pier 3.5 - a replica of Pier 7 with half the room in the suburbs.

BAD: No transitions. Not a lot of run up. Street fabricated parks are a bummer. There's another one in the next town (Foster City).

PADS: I hope not. Can you imagine?

ADDRESS: 825 Ocean View Ave, San Mateo, CA 94401, USA

HOW TO FIND IT: Take the 101 into San Mateo and take the 3rd St. exit east. Turn right on Norfolk and go down to Cottage Grove and turn left, then make a right on Ocean and look for the park on the right.
