What better way to shake off a SOTY party hangover than with a little vert cruise across The Bay? Schaaf, Ffej, Navs, Hewitt, and the SOTY—Cheers!
Drehobl and Watkins drove up to Oregon for a few days, meeting up with Gravette, Tuffli, Kimbell, Russo, and some other bros at Windell's—"The Funnest Place On Earth."
Probably the only person who doesn't wanna watch Dan Drehobl footage is Dan Drehobl, so he probably shouldn't come to our site this week. He'll be seeing a lot of himself.
Hardcore East Coast ripping? Gotta be Timmy Upson and his Connecticut bros getting ugly. "Hey Timmy, where's my 500 bucks?" —Julien Stranger
If you show footage of Windell's to any skater, anywhere in the world, they'll all say the same thing: "Man, that park looks fuckin' fun."
The trek continued to Myrtle Creek, Red's, and Lincoln City park, with a cameo from David Gravette and Omar Hassan. Taylor's 360 capped it off—so gnarly!
Here's part one of a trip to Oregon that Schmitty and Joe Brook went on with Drehobl, Watkins, Frecks, Horn, and Bingaman. Part two will be up tomorrow.
Here's another classic cover excerpted from our December 2009 issue. Switch 5.0 at Hubba Hideout in 1995? That's right, it's Fred Gall, fuckers.
After a good night at The Hut in Portland, the crew got up and headed east. Hood River was the first stop with a full-out assault on the QP, with a guest appearance from the newly married Al Partanen.
Continuing on our Northwest trip: Red took us to his friend's front yard bowl, and then we headed into the vortex of Portland.
Woke up the next morning to an epic breakfast courtesy of Red and family. The crew got some last licks in on the bowl, and then we headed to the Shit Banks.
He builds em, he rips em, he doesn't give a shit. Redneck fuckin' rules!!! -Phelps
Day two had us rained on in Coos Bay, so we took the crew north to Florence and Reedsport where Danger went for the loop.
Day one of a week-long trip to Oregon had us at Myrtle Creek and Winston. Skating, camping, and BB guns, good to be back on the road.
Here's some island vibes for an On The Download with Alex Horn, and another blog post from down in Grand Cayman.
Down at the Skate Cayman skatecamp with the 1031 team at the Black Pearl park. Too hot to skate in the day, while at night it stayed hot with the Ben Raybourn Show with cameos from Dan Drehobl, Alex Horn, Al Partanen, and Greg Harbour.
The ramp is built, the stage is set. Saturday it's on. Eduardo Craig went up to Wallenberg to make sure speed wouldn't be an issue.
