In the Valley of the Great Salt Lake

Once again, refugees washed ashore in the Valley of the great Salt Lake

Posted: May 13, 2011

Hardened men.

Many come having suffered grievous injury and hardship.

But still wildly optimistic.

Leaders of men.

Separated from their peers by bizarre rituals ...

and irritional focus and drive.

Here, in the Valley, I find them unwinding from their long journey.

The elements will be a factor.

But a local sage tells of fantastic opportunities ...

but not without serious risk!

The clean air of the Valley temporarily revives even those thought injured.

Still, our faithful are not free of peril.

Foolhardy challenges lie around every bend ...

leaps of faith unheard of since the days of the Prophet.

Still, reasons to be thankful,

for the Valley of the Great Salt Lake is a place of great fortuity,

and around every corner, another chance at glory.
