Dave Hackett's Slash Fest

Posted: December 12, 2011

Dave Hackett’s inaugural Slash Fest took place Saturday at the Clairemont YMCA in San Diego. Lots of people showed up to support The Hackman, who's just recently beat a battle with Cancer. Dave Duncan was MC of the events, which included a street course death race, a high air contest on the vert ramp, and a bowl jam contest. Salba, Hosoi, Hewitt, Jay Adams, Omar Hassan, Darren Navarrette, Andy MacDonald, Bucky Lasek, Eddie Elguera, Steve Olson, and many more showed up. It was an epic day with music, Bull Taco, and some really good skateboarding going down. The event helped raise money for Dave, who's stacked up a large hospital bill.
