Jay Adams Memorial

On Saturday August 30th 2014 skaters, surfers and fans of Jay Adams gathered in Venice Beach, CA for a celebration of his life.  Legends of skateboarding and surfing shared stories of Jay’s influence on the surf, skate and punk rock communities.  What started in Venice soon spread world wide and is still influencing boarders decades later.  His style of surfing, skating and living undeniably created a hardcore society of skaters, punkers and surfers.  Jay taught us to not only question authority but to stand together as a community of boarders.  It wasn’t a day of sorrow but a celebration of how great all of our lives have become as a result of Jay’s teachings.
RIP Jay Boy
