Remembering Phil Shao

20 years ago we lost Phil Shao. He was tragically killed in a car accident while back on the road after rehabbing his knee from ACL surgery. Phil was a phenomenal professional skater: his kindness and stylish force influenced others worldwide. He was the guy that you'd want in the van on that next adventure in life. Phil embodied the archetype for modern day "all terrain" skating with 110% raw power - skate anything and everything. And through his impressive rise, he graduated from the University of California Berkeley with an English degree as well. Style and brains eternal, we love you Phil Shao! —Bryce Kanights

    Mark Suciu's "Verso" Part
Mark's Cross Continental part birthed a legend, but this one catapults him into the stratosphere. The fastest feet in the biz and an approach to skating without comparison, Suciu's Verso is an absolute gift. Enjoy the show...

Thrasher Radio: Ep. 69 Zered Bassett
Today would have been his 57th birthday, so it feels like the perfect time to launch the final radio segment he ever recorded. Not only is the old man STILL WATCHIN, but he’s STILL TALKIN, and he insists that the show must go on. HBD, Jake. We love you.
  • Kevin Baekkel's "Higher Power" Part

    Kevin Baekkel's "Higher Power" Part
A savage Norwegian metal soundtrack is the perfect pairing for an absolute lunatic on urethane. Baekkel is out for blood. Get the hell out of his way.
  • Miles Silvas' "PLA X Thrasher" Part

Miles Silvas' "PLA X Thrasher" Part
One of the absolute best, and he makes it all look so damn effortless. Miles Davis had an album titled Miles Ahead, which feels like a very appropriate way to describe this level of skateboarding.
