Baker Low Life Tour: Phoenix & El Paso
Words & Photos: Hammeke

The crew got a late start out of LA but made it toPHX for the first stop on this summer's Baker has a Deathwish tour

Straight to the Peoria park. Lenoce with the switch heel

Moose with a tré flip

Lizard, ollie out as the park ranger shuts it down

Next day, the van has some over-heating issues in 111 degrees

No worries—Herman's dad is a TV repair man; he's got an ultimate set of tools

Beagle rescues a shoe from the tree

The beagle monkey

Next stop: El Paso. Found this spot on the way. Baca takes it to the 1980s and skates the curb

Deathwish is not afraid to bring a couple homies along, so this year Richie Belton got the extra seat in the Green Room van. Here, he tests out an ollie to the street

Richie's shirt says The Moose Is Loose, so Moose follows him to the street

Big in Texas

First stop is the signing at Crooks skateshop

The kids like the home-made shirts

And so does Beagle

This kid is stoked—he's got enough posters to wallpaper his room

The first signing of the trip and it only took three hours

They like to get Piss Drunk in El Paso

Then to the park for the demo

They're off

If you seen the Cayman Islands "just like paradise," you know Reynolds can skate the transitions, too

If a Lizard's tail falls off, it comes right back. Looks like this Lizard's foot does the same

The crowd was intense

The King of the Road issue never fails to serve up its own special recipe for brutality. This year, reigning champs Birdhouse went head to head with Element and Flip in an all-out no-holds-barred battle for the crown. Beers were butt-chugged, records were shattered (along with a leg) and insanity ensued with every page turn of the book. Included with this issue is the Hell of a Year DVD which contains the heaviest hits from thrashermagazine.com in 2014.
