you're not the boss of me. i'll keep my aces, thanks.

Rode Indy's from ~ 1999 - 2009.  Good trucks but I've been riding Theeve since Jan 09 and don't foresee myself switching back.  Theeves grind just as good, are significantly lighter and turn better. I also drive a Japanese car! :gasp:

Signed,
Your local communist/theeve fanboi  ::)

oh, no. i've been called gay on teh intarwebz by a super hardcore skater dickriding marketing brainwash victim.

indy used to be the best trucks out, but their quality has been going downhill since stage 7. i remained loyal as long as i could, but too many slipped axles, broken baseplates, and their steadfast refusal to put decent bushings in their trucks has made me go to ace.... which, btw, was started by independent's old team manager after he got sick of pushing a substandard product.

a friend of mine (no, really) had some ace trucks and they were all bent after a couple weeks. never had a problem with indys except stage 9 baseplates breaking all the time.

the USA can't make good cars, what makes you think they can make good trucks?   hardy har har.

IT'S KRUX OR DIE!  seriously. they are the gayest. a perfect compliment to skateboarding giving you AIDS.

I am a pretty big fan of Ford Trucks but I'll spare you that little tirade as it's just my preference and I have owned non-'Merican vehicles before.  I am also a pinko commie who sells secrets to the Chinese government.

Back to the topic, I have a set of of Indy Stage 10 139 and 149s that have been pretty good to me other than the crap bushings that were swapped out for Bones Mediums shortly after installing the 139s and prior to even riding the 149s.  I threw the 149s on a cruiser and the 139s are my everyday trucks which are about to be worn down to the axle.

I am probably going for the full titanium Theeve TiHs as a replacement given the strength, rigidity, weight of titanium and I can't see a reason why they wouldn't kick ass.  Compared to aluminum, titanium also dampens vibration more so i assume that would help smooth out the ride.  Lastly, if you can tell the difference between grinding aluminum coping versus steel coping then it may be the same with trucks.  Apparently I am the dick head who thinks he is a metallurgist all of the sudden.

Indy for Life! Sometimes.

Is that a joke?  The Republic of China is governed by the Communist Party of China who, amazingly, adhere to communist/socialist ideologies.

Thunders are made in San Francisco.. Ventures are made in San Francisco..

Someone needs to do some fucking research before spouting off a hate speech on Trucks.

I DRIVE A FUCKING CHEVY GODDAMNIT!

I rode Indys or Thunders for over a decade, tried some Gullwings, Trackers, Ventures and some Tensors along the way...stuck with thunder.

Recently, after a long hiatus of not skating I went on a truck binge, skating Indy Stage 10s, Thunder IIs, Theeve TiKings and ACE 33s...all with bones bushings.  ACE kick the crap out of all of the above when it comes to turning, casting and hell, look.  Theeves are close but I cannot get them to turn like the ACEs.

I drive a Japanese car.
Half the crap we all own is made in china...clothes made in india, decks from mexico of china, throwing out you buy american trucks means shit. I'm sure you know that Indy forged baseplates are made in china, right?

I've been riding Ventures for a while, never had a problem with them other than grinding down the kingpin to the point it's impossible to adjust the tightness. And I drive a Daewoo, they don't even make them anymore.

fixed that for you.

Most of the big name skate truck companies make pretty satisfiactory trucks in my opinion. As far as Independent being the best, it's all a matter of personal opinion. I see no problem in buying non-USA made skate products, what does it matter if they hold up just as well and you can just as easily shred with them?

^ how did you spell krux wrong when it's in the post above yours?  hell if you actually rode them, you would know.  besides, how often are you going through trucks that you would choose from a selection of 3 brands each time?

hahahahahahah i was high as fuck when i wrote this so what can i say - shit happens.
hell if you ride a skateboard then you should know it's not about the letters it's about fuckin trucks and even you knew that i was thinking about KRUX trucks.i was way to busy going out and find new spots to skate instead of going to school and learn some letter shit.
and man what a fuck?how often i change trucks????it's not about how often i change trucks because it's never the same and as a skater you should know this, sometimes i broke trucks in 2 weeks and sometimes i ride them for 1,2 months or even 6 months, you never know what is going to happen.
all that i said is that in my humble opinion these 3 are the best.that's it.nothing more, nothing less

easy there big fella. relax and we can all just have fun.

skateboarding makes you gay, therefore the letters, the details, even the small ones mean everything to skateboarding.  i like to get high. i like to shred spots. i also liked school. somewhat. but i always knew the correct spelling of what i rolled.  i agree that you never know what's going to happen with your shit, but that's why i have a drawer full of Krux trucks that i ordered online because some fuck mall store put my local shop out of business.  but knowing the correct spelling ensured that my order would be right.

p.s. i knew you meant Krux. <3

Turns out Indy's are made overseas. I saw a comment by NHS a couple years back saying this, but then not able to find it later on. Thanks to WayBack Machine, we can see the original post from NHS. Here is the link.
