yeah, skateboarding should only be accessible to people with access to a giant structure that costs upwards of 50-60 grand. because fuck the streets, right?

Dude, there is one vert ramp in all of Illinois. Who is saying street is threatened? There are skateparks everywhere, but no vert ramps. That is sad. Street is better than ever, that is not sad. I am for more rad surfaces to skate on.

I have no idea what this thread is about...I've only been to Chicago once, for a wedding, about 15 years ago...And I was drunk, not counting how many vert ramps there were.

I like watching the vert dogs skate, and I love skating mini ramps/bowls (I'd like to ride some vert someday.) Why does it matter how many vert ramps there are in Chicago again?

one ramp is better than no ramp.  quit bitching and start building.

I just made, and am adding to a global vert ramp map of publicly accessible ones. Not any private backyarders! http://concretedisciples.com/component/jreviews/favorites/user:30903/ (http://concretedisciples.com/component/jreviews/favorites/user:30903/) There's at least 40 so far...
