Reynolds 3 for sure. Not to much bulk not to thin. Vulc outsole with an eva mid sole super nice shoe.  Just got the Supra hammer to try something different great shoe if you like the thin light feeling.  I'm sticking to the reynolds 3 myself for skating keeping the hammers for chillin and cruisin.

Nike Dunk Low pro SB. Comfortable as fuck, and also last you a pretty good while. At first they may feel a little awkward (in comparison to Vans, Adidas, etc.) but once you get used to them they skate pretty damn good and grow to feel pretty light IMO.

Any suggestions for the best skate shoes that can take flip trick beatings?

I had each of Leo Romeros most recent shoes and I couldn't get rid of them. I'd skate for a month and a half which isnormal shoe life for me, but a new pair of something else and soon realize the Romeros looked better than the new ones and put them back on. I skate flat a lot too.

currently Vans, I don't like massive things on my feet.
I remember buying a pair of Osirus D3's back in the day... those things were horrible.

For a while there was a massive trend in the UK of ripping out your old shoe tongues and putting them in your new ones to make them fatter... everytime dudes did a kickflip you'd see this second set of tongues fly out.

Fucked if I can remember who it was but some US pro came over and made some comment like
"These UK skaters need to take their fucking tongues out of their shoes, put them back in their mouths and then shut them!"
After that no one seemed to do it anymore.

Reynolds shoes are one of the best but if you are trying for something different, then try for raben shoes  once. recently I used it and found very comfortable.

I am in love with my Nike Janoskis. They've lasted me longer than any other shoe that I've owned for skating.
