I broke mine 5weeks ago and currently in cast. Annoyingly off with skateboarding until I can walk and skate again.. 5weeks ago I rolled my ankle trying to do fs boardslide on a decline rail. I awkwardly landed my foot side ways and rolled it over on my lateral side of my foot which I heard some bone cracked and then on I can't be able to walk from the intense pain. I thought it was just a regular sprain so didn't mind and continue partying and smoked weed with friends (couldn't skate though) after a week, it got super swollen and my friends told me to have it checked. So there, i broke my 5th metatarsal bone (spiral fracture).

I'll go back to see my doctor on May 9 which is my 6 weeks in cast. Hoping there would be a good recovery coz I opted out not to go under surgery and the doctor told me that's its cool since it wasn't displaced. So here I am watching all the vids and joining forums to seek for some good advice and to ask people who have gone through this.

P.S The calf of my injured foot have gotten smaller due to non weight bearing.

Just take it easy man. Best thing you can do is relax. 6 weeks is nothing. It will fly by. Drink your milk so your bones heal back fast. Don't rush activity too soon because you don't want to make it worse. Just chill for awhile and when you're able to get back on the board, it will feel really refreshing. Good luck.
