I think both Leo and Grant are sick, but SOTY?  I'm not really buying it.  (Leo Romero's Team Managers vs. Slash Blacklight for board graphic of the year)  Last year Cole was a pretty obvious choice (fucking ridiculous video parts, contest results, was pretty much the only one who Phelps called out for Wallenberg who showed up and threw down for him), but this year its not so clear.  I think its gonna come down to who is 'doing it for the mag'.  I'd be psyched for Pfucking Pfanner to get it.  He's got my vote right now.  I think Jaws deserves an honorable mention too, cause his throwaway footage, more of which just keeps popping up on the internet, is pretty fucking gnarly.  Does the new Flip video count towards this year or last year?  Cause if its this year, I'd say Luan and Bob's parts should put them in the conversation at least.

One good video part is not enough, you gotta back that shit up long-term.

As far as 'doing it for the mag', Leo has been in Burnout more than anyone this year - all over the world.  And the new issue is all Leo too.  Stay Gold should put him in the lead without question.

King of the Road anyone?

Good video parts are why I gave honorable mentions to those guys, but you are right, it should be about more than that.  Precedent, however, does leave the door open for Pfanner.  Silas blew up, in a similar way, the year he got it.  I feel like every year people call for Leo to get it, but you made some good points there, and this one may be his.

Speaking of KOTR, is there actually going to be one this year?

Leo is definately a contender. You know his emerica part is gonna have some crazy stuff, he's been killing it lately. Pfanner's been putting a lot of stuff out this year too. but I'm still waiting for my Busenitz SOTY though. When's the Real vid dropping?

Grant or Booze N' Tits for SOTY.

KOTR, I'd like to see Crailtap, DLX, Tum Yeto and Syndrome.

SOTY can be hard to pick some years.... this year nothing is ringing a bell for me (some years like Cole or Arto or Reynolds its a no brainer).  Your list is pretty good.... out of your three Pfanners has gotten me the most stoked... the others rip too but they're not my favorites. Antwaun Dixon and Busentiz have been my favorites lately but I don't see them taking it.

Chris Pfanner, because he really deserves it!!! That backside 180 in copenhagen was insane and so is everything else he does. He's got the whole package: insane footy, awesome contest rider. I mean, come on I am obviously a fanboy but this kid is one of a kind and I guess that's what makes a soty.

Jaws is gnar.
Pfuck and Jaws should be pro in a couple of months.

grant taylor or brandon westgate.

not a huge pfan or pfanner. he's good but doesn't get me too stoked. he goes big but that is kinda all he has going for him, imo. he has potential to get much better once he starts skating better spots and doing more tricks. i am sure he will be amazing in a few years, he just needs to broaden his skill set a but more.

It seems like rookies never get SOTY. SBN is the closest to a rookie that has won. I'd say everybody loves Leo this year, but T-Puds is ripping too. Does he have a part coming out this year?
