San Francisco finally got a good skatepark. After what seemed like years of meetings, a team from Dreamland and Grindline came down and did it up proper.
WHAT: A good size bowl complete with pool coping ranging from four feet to ten. There's also a street course/flow zone that has step-ups, quarterpipes, and flat bars with plenty of lines to find.
GOOD: The park was built really well. The concrete is just like your favorite Oregon park, and the lights keep it open til 9:30pm.
BAD: When it's crowded the so-called street zone can be pretty hectic. Heckle Hill can make you feel like you're sober at Pops.
PADS: Posted, but not enforced.
ADDRESS: 1440 San Bruno Ave, San Francisco, CA, 94110, USA
HOW TO FIND IT: Northbound 101 into San Francisco and take the Army/Potrero exit. Follow the signs to Potrero Avenue and the park is on the right-hand side.
