Cities all over California should be taking note. Ripon California has put a big star on the map and it's location is one hour out of San Francisco-next to Manteca. The park is 24,000 square feet plus of pure cement and has it all. Many cities in California feel it enough just to build a park but the officials in Ripon decided they wanted the best.

WHAT: A 9 foot face wall with a channel, a Marceille like triple bowl, good coping that grinds and sticks out perfectly and a street course and seperate bowl on its way.

GOOD: A 9 foot face wall with a channel, a Marceille like triple bowl, good coping that grinds and sticks out perfectly and a street course and seperate bowl on its way.

BAD: BMXers haven't caught on to the fact that they are not wanted yet. School is close so watch out for big crowds after 3.

PADS: No, ride at your own risk

ADDRESS: 1240 Hughes Ln, Ripon, CA 95366, USA

HOW TO FIND IT: Take 580 to 205 east jump on the 5 north for a few miles then get on 120 east and take the 99 south to Ripon. Get off on Jacktone exit and turn right. Go left on Main st. and drive down till you see a plaza, turn left after the plaza and the park will be on your left-right by the friendly police station.

I live in Stockton, but I drive to Ripon to skate. It is the best park within 50 miles of Stockton.

Dylan Rieder graces the August cover with a tall order back Smith. Austyn Gillette joins the party inside with a ten-page article documenting his and Dylan's spot-destruction mission to Berlin. Eswic jumps in the van for the best road trip ever; Vans goes nuts to butts in Greece; TJ Rogers and Boo Johnson get the Heads treatment and Torey Pudwill's 20-page interview leaves no doubt that he's gunnin' for SOTY this year.
